If you know these machines, you know what this is... These things are literal tanks.
This is an excellent, low mileage, fully featured, meticulously maintained snow machine.
Things to pay attention to when buying a used machine like this:
- Rust - an indicator of age, use, and care. None on this machine. A few areas that it started to develop were quickly addressed and repainted prior to my ownership, and that has persisted with me.
- Auger serration wear- leading indicator of use. You can see in the photos this machine has barely seen anything more than loose powder
- Track Tread depth- like tires, these show mileage. These are lightly used, no cracks etc.
- Bottom auger housing edge. People forget to adjust the bottom blade and this gets ground down. This machine has a brand new blade and no scraping on the bottom.
Additional features:
- Front rollers in addition to rear (new) OEM skid pads. You can use one or the other, or both. The front rollers are much gentler on delicate printed concrete.
- OEM light kit with an upgraded LED par26 bulb
Annual maintenance actions are quite extensive:
- fuel bowl drain and tank fuel treatment
- Cable lubrication
- Oil change
- Hydrostatic transmission fluid evacuation and refill
- Grease chute control and handle
- Check spark plug and valve lash
- Fluid film lube smaller moving parts
- Adjust track tension
- General clean/wash
This is an excellent, first pull start machine with decades of use ahead of it.
Others out there are cheaper, but not in this condition.
