The operation of the Meteorological Visibility Meter is based on
on the method of relative brightness. With the help of the optical-photometric system of the visibility meter, the black mark located in the field of view of the device is brought to disappearance against the background of a velvet screen. The measurement method is designed for a normal or near-normal observer
