    Description

    Early ophthalmoscope ca. 1880's - 1900 with biconcave lens (in excellent condition), for indirect ophthalmoscopy. Handle screws off to remove. Very similar to the Loring 1878 found on page 43 of Wilbur's Antique Medical Instruments. Reflecting mirror still retains reflecting power noting few areas (midline upper and lower left to midline where glass coating has been disrupted, see photos) In excellent condition for its age. Original case with inscribed initials on outside AHB. Sold as an antique instrument for display and historical value. Ships only to the US. Please ask any  questions if need be before bidding.
